Ingredients You’ll Need
To create the perfect Pornstar Martini, you’ll need the following ingredients:
- 37.5ml (1.5 shots) vodka – This is the base of your cocktail.
- 25ml (1 shot) passion fruit puree – This adds the fruity, tropical zing that makes the Pornstar Martini so unique.
- 12.5ml (0.5 shot) vanilla syrup- This accents the passion fruit flavour and adds to the base of the cocktail.
- 12.5ml (0.5 shot) passion fruit syrup- Adds to the fruity flavour profile.
- A dash of lime juice (optional) – We don’t personally use lime juice in our cocktails, add some if you’d like to add a sharpness to balance the sweet.
- 1 fresh passion fruit – For garnish and added flavour.
- Prosecco (or champagne) – A shot, served on the side or floated on top of the drink to add a touch of bubbles.
- Ice– To chill and create a froth.
Step-by-Step Guide to Making the Perfect Pornstar Martini
Step 1: Prepare Your Glass
Start by selecting a martini glass or coupe glass, the signature vessel for this cocktail. To chill the glass, fill it with ice and set it aside while you prepare the drink.
Step 2: Mix the Cocktail
- In a Boston cocktail shaker, combine 37.5ml of vodka, 25ml of passion fruit puree, 12.5ml of vanilla syrup, and 12.5ml of passion fruit syrup.
- Add ice cubes to the shaker, making sure it’s packed tightly so the ingredients chill properly.
- Shake well – Shake vigorously for about 10-15 seconds. The goal is to mix the ingredients thoroughly and achieve a nice, frothy texture.
Step 3: Strain and Serve
- Remove the ice from your prepared glass and strain the cocktail mixture into the chilled glass. Use a Hawthorne and a fine strainer to ensure a smooth pour, free from any ice shards.
- Slice a fresh passion fruit in half and place one half inside the glass for garnish. You can scoop out the seeds and place them directly into the cocktail for an extra burst of flavour.
Step 4: Add the Prosecco
- Serve with a shot of prosecco on the side, either in a small glass or floated gently on top of the cocktail, depending on your preference. Some bartenders like to pour the prosecco directly into the cocktail, while others leave it as a side accompaniment – it’s entirely up to you!
